About The Hotel

The former home of the Oliver family, well-known local horse breeders, the hotel is set in 15 acres of countryside. The Stables Hotel Restaurant is situated in the original stable block which was converted in the 1960's.

Built in the early 1970s, the hotel accommodation is on ground level, making access easy. The 21 tastefully furnished bedrooms are all en- suite with full facilities. The hotel also has a lounge bar adjoining the restaurant in which you can relax and enjoy a drink or two before your meal.

Local Attractions

  • Inigo Jones (1km) - A fully operational slateworks which uses old methods,used for generations to craft the slate.A must see for this area.
  • Glynllifon (2km) - A mansion left bare for 350 years, has some wonderful gardens which have been restored to their former glory with rare plants and lovely walks.
  • Caernarfon castle (4km) - Caernarfon castle was built in 1283 by Edward 1. It has withstood the test of time and is still as spectacular as ever.

Getting There

From the A55 (westbound): - Exit at junction 10 and follow signs for Caernarfon (A4087). - Continue through Caernarfon, following signs for Porthmadog (A487). - Once through the village of Bontnewydd, follow signs for Pwhelli (A499). - The hotel is 300 metres from the junction of A487 and the A499, on the left on the left hand side.
